Creating the newsletter was interesting. I had to put myself in the perspective of a teacher who was actually commenting on a class that I do not actually teach. That being said, I enjoyed trying to envision a class and how I should convey my intentions for the class with the parents. As a teacher, I feel it would be very important to keep the parents involved in the learning process. For a long time in a child's life, the parents are the biggest source of information. Parents provide a major influence in the life of the student and, as such, should be involved in the student's learning process. As a result, a teacher should be easily accessible to the parents. This means providing multiple means of communication and a quick response time. This newsletter is a great way to promote communication between teacher and parents. A weekly newsletter would be optimal but may be impractical, however. As a teacher, I will try to create one as often as possible.
